Welcome to our new International Students

Westland High School is thrilled to welcome 8 new international students. Two will be staying for one year, one for one term and 5 will stay for 6 months. All the students have come from Germany, where our programme continues to be very popular.

During their second week at school they were invited to join in with the Tai Poutini Polytechnic Kayak Client days. They have spent 4 days learning the finer points of whitewater kayaking, starting off in the pool and graduating to some Grade 2 whitewater. What a great introduction to life in New Zealand!
