A wonderful trip to Brazil

Sam Nicolls one of our Head students recently came back from a student exchange to Brazil.

I have recently returned from an amazing six week exchange to Brazil where I stayed in the beautiful little town of Atibaia, an hour outside of São Paulo. My time there was filled with new experiences and people, exploring the area and learning about their language and culture.

Brazil is very different to New Zealand in a lot of ways, but one thing similar was how welcoming everyone was. The whole school of Major Juvenal Alvim played a part in our stay, showing the best of what Brazil had. My class was so welcoming and really made me feel like I belonged, and the connections I made are lifelong and I can’t wait to see them all again, no matter where that may be. It was an amazing experience and I wish it had lasted longer.
