Cape Fear adventure race success

06 May

The student successes continue on the adventure race stage. The momentum is inspiring.

Last Saturday a large number of our students ranging in ages competed in the Cape Fear adventure race in Tauranga Bay, Westport. The race is full of challenges including a 15km mountain bike, 8km of cross country running, abseiling, rock climbing, a little bit of caving and plenty of mud. Out of our large group of students we had some more resounding success in this discipline.

These students all won first place in their respective categories:

12 – 13 girls Jess Gamble and Meah Symons

14 – 15 girls Ainhoa Alkorta and Layla Thompson

14 – 15 boys Jackson Gamble and Rueben Eyre

16 – 18 boys Tim Maitland and Nate Crossman who also came 1st overall!

Congratulations to all the students who competed. There are some impressive times from them all. It’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm and participation grow within the school.
