Food Technology & Hospitality: Cooking Up a Storm with Whanaungatanga!
10 Apr

The Food technology have been super busy this term.
This term, our Food Technology and Hospitality students have been busy in the kitchen, demonstrating Whanaungatanga—building positive relationships, working collaboratively, and supporting each other’s learning.
Our Junior students explored Sensational Snacks, learning not just how to prepare delicious food but also how to work together, share ideas, and encourage each other. The Middle School students became Pizza Pros and mastered Noodle Know-How, strengthening their teamwork as they experimented with flavors and techniques.
At the senior levels, Level 1 Hospitality students developed their knife skills and hot finger food presentation, showing Whanaungatanga through peer support and shared learning. Level 2 students tackled a stacking tower challenge before diving into fruits and vegetables, helping one another refine their skills and techniques. Our Level 3 students collaborated to create impressive pickles, preserves, and chutneys, sharing knowledge and celebrating each other’s successes.
This term has been a true reflection of Whanaungatanga in action—students have built strong relationships, supported one another, and embraced a culture of shared learning. We are proud of their progress and look forward to another exciting term of growth and connection in Food Technology and Hospitality!
