*Where there are low numbers for these courses, the subject may be offered by distance learning.
**Furniture-making is only available for Senior School students.
***Robotics and Electronics is new to Westland High in 2018 and the structure for this may change in 2019. It is also subject to sufficient student demand and available staff.
Senior School students (Years 11-13) can complete National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) qualifications.
Westland High School is also a member of the Toki Pounamu cluster of West Coast schools embracing digital learning. This provides a seamless transition from primary school where students are also engaged in the Learn, Create, Share pedagogy that has been proven to lift student achievement rates.
At Westland High School, students will be required to use their own Chromebooks for learning in most classes.
