Welcome to Westland High School
- Our People / Te Tangata: show rangatiratanga.
- Our Place / Te Ao: shows kaitiakitanga.
- Our Learning / Te Ako: is underpinned by manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.
Our school embraces diversity. The culture of inclusion extends to all students and staff.
We are a community school - our close relationship with the Hokitika and Westland community is important to us. International students quickly become part of our community, our whanau (family)
Acting Principal Ross Willcocks
Hokitika is located in close proximity to the natural environment. The WHS Outdoor Education Classes utilise that special closeness most weeks. Giving our students frequent practical, in-the-field experience.
We look forward to meeting you in person, learning about your culture and joining you on some of your activities.
