Level 3 Biology
Pre-requisites:
14 credits at level two biology. Course description: Biology is suitable for students who wish to improve their general understanding of science within the context of real life situations, and vital to those who need to continue studies in the sciences as part of their career aspirations. The course includes two internal assessments, one of which will be an extended practical investigation for which the students will have 10 weeks in which to research their investigation, carry out the practical part of the investigation and write up a full report on it. There will be four externally assessed standards which cover animal behaviour and plant responses, gene expression, processes and patterns of evolution and human evolution.
