Student must have achieved either AS90940 or AS90935 (science) and in 91027 (maths), or by discussion with the teacher of the class.

Course description:

Physics is suitable for students who wish to improve their general understanding of science within the context of real life situations, and vital to those who need to continue studies in the sciences as part of their career aspirations.

Year 12 physics is the study of mechanics, waves and light, and atomic physics and radiation, as well as the processes of investigation and research. It involves a different way of thinking about and describing our surroundings and is useful to develop alternative thought patterns.
