Level 2 Drama

Course description:

The level two course builds on the skills acquired in level one, with students developing group performance skills, exploring theatre form, devising and techniques of drama cooperatively. Students are expected to be able to work independently and in a reflective manner. In most cases, some written work is required to support practical work in assessments. All students are encouraged to take part in performance opportunities where possible.

AS91213          Apply drama techniques in a scripted context I 4

AS91215          Discuss a drama/theatre form or period with reference to text. E 4

AS91216          Use complex performance skills associated with a drama or theatre form or period. I 4

AS91218          Perform a substantial acting role in a scripted performance. I 5

AS91219          Discuss drama elements, techniques, conventions and technologies within live performance.  E 4

AS91220         Script a scene suitable for drama performance I 4

AS91221          Direct a scene for drama performance I 4

Please note: It is not expected that learners will complete all of the standards available. A minimum of 14 credits will be expected.

Cost: $20 + Performance costs. Students are expected to attend live theatre, where possible.
