Year 10 English curriculum level between 4a and 5a is recommended.

Course description:

Initially we will be working on literacy portfolios. This has a functional literacy feel so we will be applying our English skills to real life situations. This will also get the students their literacy. Students will then explore film, short stories and novels as they work their way towards achievement standards.

Course objectives:

To give students the opportunity to gain level 1 by getting them their literacy and offering students the opportunity for subject endorsement while being supported but a healthy amount of time and scaffolding.
