Level 1 Design and visual communication (Graphics)

One trimester of middle school graphics or with prior approval from the Technology HOD
Course description:
Are you interested in the design of objects or spaces? Do you need to learn how to draw and/or read instrumental drawings? Do you like being creative? This course is about inspiring a passion for the world of design. It is an achievement standard course, students will work on two folios of work that will be assessed both internally and externally up to a maximum of 25 credits. You will learn how to do quick sketches of your ideas, render your work to make it look realistic and draw accurately with instruments. You will also learn how to develop and refine your design ideas. In taking this course you will gain knowledge and skills that enhance your ability to visualise, reason, and make informed choices.
