Westland High School Kapa Haka Roopu

The Westland High School Kapa Haka roopu competed on Monday at the Te Hui Ahurei on nga Kapa Haka o Te Tai Poutini in the Greymouth Regent Theatre.

The Westland High School Kapa Haka Roopu competed again this year in the annual Regional Kapa Haka competion, Te Hui Ahurei on nga Kapa Haka o Te Tai Poutini. The students performed a stunning bracket and the crowd roared with support.

Congratulations to all the students in the team, the school is very proud of your achievements. We also want to thank the tutor Memphis Morgan, the teachers Bussy Takarua and Christine Weepu and all the whanau who helped support. We also are very grateful to West REAP, the volunteers and the school’s involved in organising and managing the event.

We can only share two items from the award winning bracket with you, as the student will be performing in 8 weeks time at the Waitaha Regional competition in Christchurch. Once they have competed there, we will share with you the full performance.
