Connection with school in Nepal
Students at Westland High form a supportive relationship with a school in Nepal.
Westland High School has this year formed a relationship with a school in Nepal. Students are supporting a variety of projects. The Runanga Tauira are fundraising for computers for the Nepalese school, so that our students can communicate with students over there on a regular basis. This group of students have initiated a book drive to gather books for the same school, as they do not have a library or reading books. Pictured are Isla Scott, Morgan Linklater, Stevie Crombie, Joshua Nolan, and teacher Raelene McMullan, addressing students at Kaniere School. They will address students at Hokitika Primary School this Friday, to garner more support for their project.
