Westland High School students perform well in tennis!

Recently we have had 3 students achieve highly within the field of tennis.

Three of Westland High School students, Stanley Vercoe, Demi Pearson and Connor Greig were chosen for the West Coast junior tennis team. They went to play a tournament against Marlborough in Blenheim during the April holidays. Their team did really well and claimed victory against Marlborough for the Wilding Trophy.

Connor Greig and Stanley Vercoe took part in a Men's doubles play off at Paroa Tennis club and won the Ken Kaanga Memorial trophy as the winners on the day.

Stanley Vercoe also went to play in a tennis tournament in Christchurch during the last week of the April holidays. He was the winner for the U14 Boys Graded Red Singles.

Well done to our three tennis stars!
