Ugly Shakespeare

On Thursday the 18th of March, Westland High School was lucky enough to see a performance from the Ugly Shakespeare Company at The Regent Theatre.

On Thursday the 18th of March 150 Westland High School students and several staff witnessed the hilarious take on a classic, Romeo and Juliet (or Jules as she likes to be called).

Students were involved in the scene creation, music development (thank you Georgia Ritchie) and even up on stage as the wedding witnesses (Savanah Page, Sydney Sangster- Grooms women and Jakeb Rochford and Scott Matthews- Brides men).

After the show the middle and senior Drama students partook in a workshop focusing on the physicality of theatre. A massive thank you to the performers and the community who had come and seen the evening show also.
