Next week (9 - 13 September), marks the beginning of our planning for subjects and courses in the senior school for 2020. It is also the time we take a hard look at where our senior students need more support to ensure the best possible outcomes for the year. Our aim is to provide you with as much information as possible to ensure sensible course selection and great results for the future. We have a busy week of activities, including opportunities for students to look at possible careers and training options.
The important messages for our senior students are:
eight weeks until exams from the 9th of September (including the holiday break).
If you have internals assessments outstanding, you will need to finish these before classes finish in early November.
If you want merit, aim for excellence.
Believe in yourself, take responsibility, take action.
Desire and technique - if you really wantto do well, you can do well. Techniques include using a diary, making a study timetable, asking for help. See this past newsletter article for more tips. Senior Assessment Schedules
Choose subjects for next year wisely, aim high.
Making the right choices now will give you a better chance of achieving in the future.
If you find something difficult, ask a teacher as soon as you can.
If you have external exams coming up, make a revision timetable and stick to it.
