International programme
Westland High School runs a small yet active international programme welcoming many students from around the globe each year.
Westland High School is able to offer:
- International Education
- Short-stay programmes for groups
- Short-stay programmes for individual students
International Education Programme (6 months and longer)
Westland High School hosts students from a variety of countries of cultures. We have hosted many students from around the world including:
- Japan
- Germany
- Italy
- Argentina
- Switzerland
- Austria
- Belgium
- Netherlands
Some students choose to stay longer than one year to prepare for New Zealand's University entrance qualifications.

Short Stay Programmes
We receive three visits by groups per year - two from Thailand (in March and October) and one from Japan (July-August) ranging from 10-20 days per visit.
Individual Short Stay
We welcome students who wish to spend their summer holidays living in New Zealand.
World class outdoor education program

Westland High School is renowned for it's outdoor education program, attracting students from all over the globe. In May 2011 we achieved the OutdoorsMark - safety audit. We celebrate the achievement and recognition of the excellence of our programme especially in relation to safety. The report concludes: “The transparent safety culture at Westland High School is to be commended”.
